In 1991, at age 68, she began to sense sounds and hear music during her meditations (and even in her dreams) following attending a series of angel workshops. In a year and a half she had composed 24 original piano solos. Then in 1993 at the ripe young age of 70 she sensed she was being guided to share her music with the world and professionally recorded her debut album at Music Masters Studio in mid-town St. Louis.
She called her album “A Hug Around the Heart” because her daughter Margie had said that’s the way the music made her feel. This was followed by three more CDs over a period of 6 six years for an incredible total of 60 original songs that she self marketed all over the US and to several countries.
A few years ago, a stroke sidelined Marge who was in the middle of preparing her 5th volume. Although her sight and ability to read were impaired, her piano playing was untouched.
She may need her walker to get to the baby grand piano these days but once she sits on the bench, she quickly flies into her role as a virtuoso pianist who also can crank out some serious be-bop!
